Error checking for update

I get the attached error when I open SGP without an internet connection. If I’m connected I don’t get the error. It happens when the software is checking for updates. Is there a place to turn this off? Or can the software only check if there’s internet access?

Tested on Win7 and Win10 laptops, same behavior both with and without internet.
